Toyota believes in the importance of ensuring that its employees have a good social and home life. Toyota employees are not just expected to work hard and with commitment; they are also strongly encouraged to participate in one or all of the many activities arranged for their mental, social and physical well-being.

Sports:
The Toyota Head Office site boasts not only tennis and squash courts but a football pitch and running track, with all the necessary shower and changing facilities to ensure you can enjoy your spare time.
Toyota has developed a programme called Employee Vitality.
Under the programme you can take tennis lessons and (if you are feeling confident enough) participate in the tennis ladder at the end of the season. You can be part of a team running in the ‘20km of Brussels’ or you can take part in our 130-km annual bike ride to raise money for charity.
There is also the annual pan-European football tournament, collecting teams from across Europe during a weekend of pure football and fun.
Other sports include sailing, biking, volleyball … the options are numerous!

Cultural activities
Toyota employees can enter a raffle for cultural tickets every month. Feel like enjoying an evening of theatre or opera, or viewing a dance performance for free? Kaaitheater, La Monnaie, Bozar… invite you to an evening of cultural highlights if you are the lucky raffle winner!

Specials
Toyota Day Out: One of the year’s highlights is the annual Toyota Day Out, where the company invites all its employees to a day of activity, food and music for all ages. This is an opportunity for employees to get together in a social atmosphere with colleagues and their families and friends.

Ekiden: This is a Japanese tradition, from a word meaning marathon or relay, and its origin lies in the old Japanese postal system.
In Toyota the format has been transferred to a series of relay races for employees. Participating countries select their teams and send their fastest competitors to the pan-European Ekiden, with the winners travelling to Japan to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience competing against the best Toyota teams from across the globe.
